MOF - JAPANESE SWEETS & COFFEE

Dessert has always been described as the most seductive meal. Most women can never resist its' seduction. I'm one of the slaves for desserts, what to do, I'm a female homo sapien...

Dad was asking, "What should we have for dessert tonight? 'Tong shui'?". As we were at Pavilion, I suggested MOF instead. This is because of their food replicas. It caught my attention & therefore, never ran out of my mind...

SHIRATAMA KURIAN
This is a combination of soft vanilla ice-cream, mixed fruits, kanten jelly, & glutinous rice balls. It comes with a special black sweet sauce made from black prunes & black dates. It is suggested to pour the sauce over the Kanten jelly before eating, but I decided to dip the glutinous rice balls into the sauce before eating. It's so yummy!!! Ways of eating can always be varied depending on the person's creativity, not necessary to follow the traditional way!!!
[Price: $ / Worthiness: excellent]

COOKIE CREAM SHAKE
Personally, I wouldn't order this, because it can be easily found in most cafes or restaurants. My brother ordered because he always fancy milk shake with oreo or chocolate. The cup is very special, but unrealistic!!! Before drinking it, the shake had already been dripping, due to the shape of the cup. On top of the shake, it comes with a scope of soft vanilla ice-cream & half slice of oreo cookie. Why can't MOF just put in 1 whole slice of cookie? Anyway, it tastes alright. [Price: $ / Worthiness: Fair]

CHOCOLATE SUNDAE
This suits all sundae's lovers, not chocolate lovers. Why? This is because, it contains so many toppings, fruits, jelly... etc. However, the taste of it's chocolate ice-cream although is not bad, but isn't rich enough. [Price: $ / Worthiness: good]

ABEKAWA
I have always been waiting to try this dish, abekawa, due to the cartoon 'Crayon Shin Chan'. Shin Chan loves this mochi & he'll cook them by placing them on top of the house heater. It looks easy but it's very dangerous!!! Please do not try this at home, use to oven instead!!! It is served with red bean paste & sprinkled with soybean powder. It's very special, it's texture, the feeling in your mouth is different from other mochi that I've tried. Maybe this is because it has been baked. The combination of abekawa + soybean powder + red bean paste is marvelous!!! [Price: $ / Worthiness: Excellent]

Summary:
I'm in love with this place, I suggest those who go there, try bringing more friends/family members along. Order a few dishes & share among each other. Not because the size of the dish is big, it's because by doing this, people will get closer to each other & you may be able to try out more dishes. But make sure, you or the other person you bring is not affected by any illness!!! Eat safe!!!
